The region of Karnataka has witnessed the rise of a newphenomenon, the KLE Society, Belagavi. It was the most selfless and voluntary act thattransformed the educationalclimate of then Bombay province. The singular act of founding theKLE Society in 1916 byseven dedicated teachers ,The Saptarishis’ and their patrons, set the ball rolling for the mostspectacular event that haschanged the course of the history of Karnataka, especially that ofNorth Karnataka.
